I just got a DVD that (unbeknownst to me when I bid on it) is a Region 2. Is there a hack to get our player to play this? This machine is probably 6 yrs old.
Any help is appreciated.

I had this player several years ago (great player, by the way - played pretty much everything I put in it), but I could never find a region hack for it. My advice is to rip the DVD (removing the region code), and reburn. That is what I had to do - it should play the PAL resolution/frame rate fine on an NTSC TV (mine did), it's just the region code that gets in the way.
If you're worried about changing the region code on your computer DVD drive, install DVD43 before you rip the DVD."Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man, and let history make its own judgment."

All players can't be hacked. There may not be a hack for this player. The suggestion to rip it and re-burn it is probably your best bet.
