  1. :(

Please help and save my sanity....

My Samsung DVD player will play VCD's pressed on Samsung CDR's but not any other make..

I've tried BASF, Kodak and Mr Data but they are not recognised.

I am using Smartripper, DVD2AVI and TMPG.

Is it a problem with my hardware?

    Thanx

  3. I have a Samsung 709 and this has similar problems. It only reads the Green/Blue CDRs, officially named Cyanine.
If you live in the UK, try Vivastar CDRs, available from Argos.
    hope this helps

  4. this is a very very common problem. My apex ad660 likes the Verbatim data life plus blue azodye cdrs, but the PNY greens it hates, takes extra loading time and then skips.
Its almost like to problems alot of people had with their older cd players that didnt like burned audio discs. Thats why alot of cd players have a CDR or CDRW compatible label on them.
A CDR IS different physically than a CDRW, CD, DVD, all are slightly different.
