My second question for today...
Is there any DOS commandline based program that can convert from MPEG1 sound file to MP3?
Even better if it can handle more formats than MPEG1. So also other formats can be converted. Must be for DOS though...

DOS and command line (CLI) are not the same thing. Which do you mean? I would guess you mean a CLI based program for Windows.

lame.exe can decompress a .mp2 file and convert it to a .mp3 one,
IF this is what you're looking for, I mean.
Even better if it can handle more formats than MPEG1. So also other formats can be converted.
BTW, MP3 is "MPEG-1 Audio, Layer-3"
(yes, there is an MPEG-2 "flavor", but I presume you wouldn't like it).
