    is there a way to have vob2mpg add suptitles when converting from video_ts folder?

    Subtitle streams are retained in the mpegs that are outputed. Depending on what you want to do you can manipulate them with one of the tools from https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/subtitle
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
