    Hello,

I am a radio pplay-by-play broadcaster for a division 1 college hockey team. We have an online video webcast of our games live every game. Right now it is just a normal feed, 1 camera nothing else, no replays, no score or game time clock at the top/bottom of the screen.

I was wondering what equipment I would need to generate replays, and how much would it cost? As well as what equipment I would need to have the game time clock and the score on the screen during the game?

    Thanks

  2. people first - a producer, and crew to run cameras(action, closeups, score, time clock, etc) and tape or digital recorders - then a video mixer(and someone to run it). something like this. http://www.videomaker.com/article/9510/

check your uni's a/v department or other school/pbs if your's doesn't have one for hints and help.

    And does that do replays?

Right now I'm looking for just 1 camera feed, with replays, and adds the game time/score on the screen.

  5. Our software is used to stream athletics events for all the high schools in Wisconsin state-wide. A single DV camcorder is connected to a Windows laptop and a score/time/graphic added as needed to the video. This is recorded to disk for archiving and, at the same time, encoded as WMV (using Windows Media Encoder) and streamed to the internet.

You may be able to find examples at http://www.prepsonthenet.com - basically, if the video has the score etc, it was processed with our software.

Adding a replay capability would be relatively straightforward. We also have a software switcher that would let you switch between multiple DV camcorders.

If this sounds potentially useful, please contact me at johnATenosoft.net

  6. johnny how do you get a picture-in-picture of a scoreboard/clock with only 1 cam? just curious. i can see replaying part of the file back as a replay. it would take a talented comp operator to do it in a reasonable time i would guess.
