I have tried many different programs, Handbreak, EncodeHD, WinFF, etc... I tried high compression, Low compression, I tried deinterlace and many other programs and settings that I have now forgotten.
My Problem is that when a scene has a lot of action (e.g. Large pan of the camera) the video slows down and becomes very jerky. The easiest program I use to date is EncodeHD which gives me a video of 720x480 at a bit rate of about 1,500. I read some specs on the Xbox 360 and saw that the bit rate could go as high as 10,000.
I am converting my videos (That I own) and creating a video library with my Network Attached Drive. The problem happens no matter where I play the video. A USB drive attached to the Xbox or DVD (Not an Mpeg2 DVD Movie and MP4 on a DVD) I have even tried WMV files but they too have the same problem.
Again this is only when a scene has Large movements. Is MP4 the best way to go or should I use a different format. I have tried MP4 with the H.264. If you know of a program and can send me the settings that would be great. Should I deinterlace or not? I have a 52 inch Samsung and the Xbox is connected via the component connection but I have other Media players that I would like to attach so I need compatibility.
And Ideas?
Raymond
