Using Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 to capture TV, how do I know when to use Stereo, Joint Stereo or Dual Channel for Audio input type?

Also what is GOPs, it says : GOP stands for "Group of Pictures" contains arbitrary number of frames, and the way that different types of frames are arranged is arbitrary, you can adjust it from 6 to 15. What does that mean?

Use stereo. Joint Stereo is trickery that you need not worry about and Dual Channel has no real use for American TV captures.

Set the GOP to 15. 330 posts and you joined 5+ years ago and you don't know about our Glossary section? See

Basically it's the way the MPEG video compresses video streams.
