Hi guys, what I want to do is record my PS3 gameplay in any format at all, but my monitor only has HDMI input.
So what I'm looking for is a setup in which the PS3 has HDMI going to the monitor, and some other signal going into the capture device, and because of HDCP I suppose I can't record directly from HDMI.
Can I have 720p HD HDMI and component output at the same time?
If not, would it be best to split the hdmi signal, let one go to the monitor and convert the other into HD component, or is there any easier/cheaper alternative?
And finally, what capture device is recommended? If I want to record the HD component signal I suppose I need something like the Hauppauge HD PVR? I live in europe though, so any popular alternatives would be great (can a standard Dazzle record the converted HDMI signal?)
Thanks in advance =)
