DVD Title display on player LCD screen

You know on some DVDs played on some DVD players you can cycle through the time/title button and up on the LCD display will come time elapsed, time remaining & then disc title? The disc title is usually just the name of the movie. Where is this information got from and how do I edit it? It isn't the volume label of the disc. I know this for sure because I've just created one and the disc title being displayed is not the same as the volume label I gave the disc. I guess it's a setting set during authoring? I'm using DVD-lab PRO for this, but can't find a likely setting anywhere.

Try TitleWriter. It can add so called DVD_TEXT to DVD-VIdeo.

I believe what you're looking for is more of a function the burning software than of authoring. If you burn with IMGBurn, you can set you volume titles and such as you go.

Thanks for this. I was using DVD Decrypter to write my ISOs so this was a nice and sensible upgrade for me. I can't find how to edit the DVD-Text with it though. Do you know where one can set this option with ImgBurn? I can see where you set the volume label but not DVD-Text.

I wanted to try this first before TitleWriter because I'm familiar with DVD Decrypter already and TitleWriter seems to be a much bigger and complex program just for just doing just the one very small thing I'm after.

Thank you Baldrick. I have figured out how to do what I want with TitleWriter as suggested and it is surprisingly easy with the help of the internal documentation provided.

How do you make it work? Im wasting discs and my Sony changer will NOT read the titles? I rip with SlySoft, open it with Titlewriter, change the MOVIE name, as I have a Sony changer, and then burn with SlySoft but the disc doesnt seem any different than the original! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
