  1. hi all
    please can anyone help me i have a standalone dvd player and would like to attach it to my computor my graphics controller has a video socket and a s-video socket can i attach my dvd player and if yes how.
    any help would be very much apreciated.

  2. Is that S-Video jack on your video card a video-IN or a video-OUT?

  5. the graphics controller is called intel 82810 graphics controller

  6. i have just done this a few days ago
    the way i did it was like this
    got some jack leads (the sort u use with your amp ect)
    attch 1 to your socket on the graphics card (not the s.video) then buy a splitter for the sound so its a 3.5mm pin 2 a 2 jackplugs
    the end of the j/plugs go to your video recorder and so does the other 1 (from the video out socket on your card)

    this way its all connected to your video then connect your video to the tv and away u go

    i use it so i can play the divx films on pc but record them direct to vhs tape

  7. hey mirror thanks for that it will help with something else i am thinking of doing but i want to attach my standalone dvd to my pc so i can watch/record dvd's on my pc can u help.
