    hi how to convert wmv to avi that is playable on divx dvd player.i would like to be able to watch the file on my dvd and tv.here is more info on the file

    I like Xvid4PSP. Use the AVI Hardware preset to get something playable in your standalone player.

    Which DVD player are you using? Some, like the Philips 5990/5992, actually do support playback of WMV videos to some extent - though all the videos have to have a resolution lower than 720x576 at the most.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    xvid is a great software,i easily converted my wmvs to avi and was able to watch it on my dvd.
    i tried to watch the dvd like Ai Haibara suggested but did not work.

    I was only asking which DVD player you were using, though. WMV playback on standalone DVD players is still rather rare.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
