  1. I followed the instructions here http://www.geocities.com/jbboi4/hjsplit.html
But even after I renamed my avi files and add extensions .001 , .002, and .003 , it did not work

    Files

    Movie.avi.001
    Movie.avi.002
    Movie.avi.003

The combined file is only part 1. Am I doing something wrong?

  2. If your original files weren't split using HJ split in the first place, it won't work.

What are you trying to do? If they were playable avi segments, you can join them with virtualdub or avidemux.

Try using virtualdub to join your avi files.

hjsplit splits the binary file. It adds extensions automatically.
It can join split binary files split by it or by anything else which follows the same rule for naming the split files.
You are doing something totally wrong. Unless you tell us from the beginning what you are trying to do, it is diffficult to help you.

If they are regular avi files to begin with do as poisondeathray suggested.Remember to save as direct copy for video if using virtualdub.
