Is there a quality VC device or card available for $60 or less? I plan or using it mainly to capture video gaming playthroughs, rather than transferring VHS and such.
Thanks!

Either of these cards will work, both are under $60.

All you need to do is connect the s-video cable or composite cables from the gaming system to the capture card and capture.

	Is Pinnacle alright?

I looked up some reviews on the products, and they aren't so good (I use Amazon).

Are these cards decent in your experience? Any issues with dropped frames or audio sync?

I use to use the Pinnacle AV/DV with studio 9. http://www.amazon.com/Pinnacle-Studio-Plus-AV-Deluxe/dp/B00032Q1L2 I had no problems capturing with the card. The only problems I ever had where with software bugs. Can't speak about the quality these days, don't do captures anymore. I use a dvd recorder hooked up to sat to record directly to dvd then import to computer to do any editing and then do a final burn.
