    i used to encode my files using canopus encoder ... that seems to give me a good divx encoded avi except for one thing ... my encoded avi's don't seek in my HW player .... i took the video info for both avi's .. befor and after encoding so plz i need help to point out what i'm missing in order to make my files seeks properly in my player , thx

    I'm a bit confused as both files are Xvid, not Divx. Why the Xvid to Xvid re-encode? What are you trying to accomplish?

    If you load your AVIs in GSpot, VirtualDub, VLC, etc., do the programs complain about the AVIs' indexes?
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
