Hi, I'm having problems with the new Premier, when I play video in editing monitor on some vids it freezes the picture and plays the sound properly and on another vids it plays the picture but not the sound.

I've searched the web for people with similar problems, and they all said it's a problem codecs problem. Can you recommend what I should have?

It's a new computer, and it worked on the old one like a charm, but now it wont. I currently have instaled AC3-filter, Dr.Divx Pro, K-Lite Codec Pack....

What is your video source? DV-AVI? Divx / Xvid AVI? MPEG? MOV? FLV? What?

Also, who recommended K-Lite codec pack? It is like dumping garbage into the video pipeline of your system, and it may be a significant part of the problem, because it creates major codec conflicts. These days, codec packs are sabotage -- especially to those using pro video editing software.

K-lite issues aside, the most likely problem is that xvid is not a Premiere-friendly video format. It's not a good format for editing period.

Consider converting your xvid video to DV-AVI before dealing with it in Premiere.
