    I am running Windows 7 beta and I want to convert some of my mini-dvd recorded videos into something else that I can cut out parts. I normally would use TMPGEnc DVD Author (version 3.1.1.174), but the version I have WILL NOT run under Windows 7 period, no matter how I try to install it or run it. It will install, but will not run.

    I tried VideoReDo, but the trial version will only do 15 minutes of video, I have tried everything, even getting a trial key and still it only does 15 minutes. I need to convert about 1 hour. I am downloading the newest trial version of DVD Author right now and going to test it, but still looking for something that might be freeware.

    I actually had already tried that. It gets the file into a large mpg file, but still got to be able to cut out the ending of the video.
