sounds like you have the trial version. it is limited, and will only rip 1/4 of the movie.
i also have this program and i have found it usefull. just dont use it to burn directly from the dvd onto a cdr. it is important that you rip the dvd to your hard drive first, then use dup-dvd to produce your cdr's from your hard drive.
i learned the hard way. i was ripping a rented movie when my dvd drive got so hot that it melted the dvd inside of it. it cost me the price of a new dvd drive and i had to pay for the movie i rented. save your self some money and take my advise. RIP TO THE HARD DRIVE FIRST, THEN USE DUP-DVD TO CREATE YOUR CDR'S !!!
also, it will not work on all dvd's. for some reason, it would not rip the movie dinosaur or blood in, blood out. therefore, it does have its limitations. i would suggest learning the traditional way first, then using dup-dvd as a backup for the real way to do it..... -
hi there
thx for replying
ive allready learned the other ways ie:using tmpg,dvd2avi+dvd encrypter
its only these 2 dvds ive got i cant seem to rip them with a good picture
these are the dvds im tryin maybe you know something about the protection on it?
1,DRIVEN (REGION 1)
2,SOUL SURVIVOUR (REGION 1)
u say rip the dvds to the h/d first but what programme for that??????????? (dvd encrypter?)
ive also noctied if i use dvd encrypter where it loads the vobs automatically the 3rd vob is slightly smaller than the 1st,2nd,4th,5th and of course the last is smaller anyway
but is there a reason for this ? as ive never noticed it on any others
thx again
hope to see you reply

i have been having luck with the following :
clad dvd to rip the dvd onto my hard drive.
dup-dvd to convert the files on my hard drive to 2 .bin files
isobuster.exe to extract the .dat files from within the .bin files
finally burn the .dat files with nero as a vcd format
this method seems to work flawlessly for me. you simply have to point the source image to the largest .ifo file, and choose image for the target drive. this will convert the files on your hard drive to the .bin files.
if you want to talk more about it, you can hit me up on yahoo messanger at davidnmd or on aim davidzz26.

What version of DUP-DVD are u using loco1?
Version 2.04 has some issues burning 2nd or 3rd disc -
im using version 2.06. they have fixed the burning bugs on the 2nd and 3rd disks. i still dont use it to burn the disks though. i use dup-dvd to produce the .bin files and nero to burn the cdr's. the reason for this is because dup-dvd seemlessly splits the files at the necessary point.
good luck !
