    Maybe there is a software that can "compare" the two tracks (the one from the avi and the one from the DVD) and sync them (marking two or more "key" points or something like that)?
    Or am I asking for the impossible?

  2. I don't think your going to find anything what will automatically lip sync.

  3. I've managed to resync the video and audiotracks with a by-segment approach, but when I try to remux in IfoEdit I get an error message like "Too many frame drops".
    What the heck is that?

    Edit: maybe I've figured out that myself.

  4. The IfoEdit error was due to the fact that I was trying to remux the audio tracks in .wav and not .ac3.
    Now I have both episodes with a good video in sync with the audio.
    It has been more tricky than I expected, but I've reached the finish line, one way or the other.
    Now the last thing is to replace the VOBs in the DVD with the new ones. I think this is a job for Sup...ehm VobBlanker
