    Hello--

    No, the model you mentioned cannot play DVD's-- I just checked the model number online. A CD-RW can only play DVD-ROM or DVD video if it has that capability built in---DVD is not a CD. Rather, DVD is a higher-capacity disc that can hold 4.7GB per layer, for a total of ~17GB (double layered, double-sided). Unless a CD-ROM drive is a combo DVD/CD drive, it will not read DVD discs.
