Procoder PAL adaptive interlace vs virtualdub

Any opinions which works better. Especially for PAL?

What's an adaptive interlace? Do you mean to say adaptive deinterlace?

What makes you think it's interlaced? That question may sound stupid on the face of it, but there's a reason I ask. Is this a movie, by chance? To answer the question, though, AviSynth has the best deinterlacers, if it actually needs deinterlacing. And if this is for DVD, the chances are very good it doesn't need deinterlacing.
