    Hi All,

I am creating a music DVD that comprises of my most favourite tracks. To do this I have a selection of VOBs that have been taken from DVDs.

I can play them directly with something like 'Power DVD' and the like - and the music stays in sync with the video.

There is an issue I have with just a small number of VOBs that when I convert them to an AVI with AutoGK I end up with the audio leading the video by around 100ms.

What can I use or do to prevent this from occuring?

    Fritzables.

Vobs can have an audio delay. If you choose the .ifo instead of vob when you import you shouldn't get this problem.

Or you can adjust the audio delay in the avi using avidemux, open avi, choose copy under video and audio, under audio change the SHIFT value to -100ms/+100ms, save as an new avi.

  3. I get that too when I trim a VOB. My solution is to open the VOB's IFO in PGCDemux and click the A/V Delay button, then I start AutoGK and right away I open the AutoGK tmp folder inside the destination folder and compare the delay value there.

When it's wrong I let the process complete up to after VDubMod as started (let it run at least a 30 sec or up to 1% to be safe), then I abort in AutoGK. If you are converting a batch of videos they should just carry to the next one.

To correct the delay, open Lastjob.vcf in the tmp folder with notepad find the setinterleave line near the bottom and change the last number in brackets to match what you got from PGCDemux.

Manually start VDubMod, click File, Run Script and find Lastjob.vcf. You can also do it to a video that was done converting, the bad AVI will just be overwritten.

    Thanks guys,

As I select random individual VOBs across a number of DVDs I will not be able to use a .ifo so it looks as though avidemux has the vote.

    Thanks again for the help.

    Cheers

  5. Or just correct the delay in the completed AVI.
