I need to convert some AVI movies to Video-TS so I can burn them to DVD via Toast 9 to use on non-DivX enabled DVD player. I have installed ffmpegX and dragged the source file to the Source window and selected MPEG-TS in the Target window. When I then ask it to encode I get a message saying 'Output video width is not divisible by 16' I have tried changing the Video Parameters from a width of 362 (the default) to 368 which is the nearest value divisible by 16 but still get the same message. I am a complete newbie to this technology so any help greatly appreciated.

Top left corner of this page will tell you what is DVD legal. Basically, neither of those widths is DVD compliant.

The MPEG-TS preset creates a Transport Stream (like broadcast), which is not for DVD.
Use a DVD preset to convert to a VIDEO_TS folder for DVD.

The valid DVD resolutions are limited, as the "What is DVD" link will tell you.
Note that DVD doesn't use square pixels (unlike AVI), and that 4:3 and 16:9 may use the same resolution. ffmpegX has video size presets "DVD" (4:3) and "DVD 16:9" to choose for this.
