I couldn't find any topics on this matter so I hope this is not a repost. In any event, I just bought a RCA DRC290 5-Disc DVD player (plays DIVX). I converted some AVI files to DIVX using DIVX converter. The issue is that when I play some of the DIVX files in my DVD player, the sound and video of the DIVX are not in sync. Could anyone help me out with this problem?

    Thanks in advance

Do you have Toast Titanium, v.8 or higher?
What happens if you take your avi files
and burn them to DIVX disc using Toast?
Does it play in the 5 disc then?
( I've had good luck doing it this way)

Also, if you open the .avi files in Quicktime,
what does it say about the codecs needed to play the files?
    (Movie Info)
Please post this information back here so we can further be of help.....

While AVI files can contain clips in just about any format, many are already in DivX (or XviD). If so, you wouldn't have to convert at all.
