    Hi,

Probably an easy task, but I'm new to DVDlab and DVD-creation in general. I'm creating a DVD of three separate movies and I'd like to create a scene selection menu which would have all chapters/scenes from the three movies - rather than having them on separate sub-menus...is there an easy way to do this in Pro 2 ?

    Thanks for your help

You can, but you would have to do it manually. No biggie, but a couple of caveats.

    1. All three movies would have to be in the same VTS, or you would have to create bridges to get out to the other movies

    2. The total number of chapters, plus any other navigation buttons required, must be less than 32 if it is a 4:3 menu, and less than 18 if it is a 16:9 menu.

    3. If that image is in your sig you had better shrink it right down before a mod sees it. It is far to big.

ah, well all movies are in VTS 1 and the chapters just under 30 (4:3)

You might be able to speed things up by using the wizard in DLP2, but that will create multiple menus pages and you will have to copy and paste the buttons onto a single page. Don't know if this will be faster than doing it by hand or not. I don't use the templates and wizards in DLP, as I do all my menus by hand.

Can you post instructions on how to accomplish this manually, or point me to a How-To? I'd appreciate it. I'm willing to give it a try, if it proves too tedious or advanced for me I'll try the wizard/paste method.

    Thanks guns1inger

This will only work if you want thumbnails on your menu, as all the Wizard produces menus are thumbnail based, or Film Strip based.

Menu -> Scene Selection Menu -> Thumbnail Scene Selection. Select the template with the largest number of images, and let it create a menu. Repeat for each movie, then just copy and paste these to a single menu page.
