ok, this is goign to be a long post. i need to tell you what i have working. i bought a samsung 1500 bluray player. i started converting mkvs to bd5 and bd9. they played liek a charm. my neighbor then gets a lg bluray player, and none of my bd5s or bd9s work. i get a bluray burner and nahdvd hd. i ripped a movie, used bdrebuilder and shrunk it to fit on a 25 gig bd-r. i burn the movie with imgburn, plop it in my samsung, and it wont play. it freezes on start up. i take it to my neighbors lg that plays nothing, and loaded fine. i then decided to hook my player to the network and update firmware. low and behold my burnt bd-r plays perfectly. so thinking i had made a step in the right direction, i decided to watch one of my bd5s that worked before the upgrade. now none of the movies i burnt before worked. i scoured the fourms and found avhcd. i dled a sample .iso and burnt it to a dvd 5 ploped it in and it was screen test, but it worked. i took it to my neighbors lg and put it in, and it worked. so i explored the avhcd and noticed that in the bdmv dir there where less folders then in my rips after using tsmuxer. so i used tsmuxer and extracted a bluray disc went into the bdmv folder and deleted all folders except Backup, Clipinf, playlist, and stream, and left the two foles in the root of bdmv. used imgburn and burnt it. this disc worked in both players fine. tried another one. same thing. i then tried burning a movie on a dual layer dvd, played fine in both. so i then got a mkv that was 18 gigs. after running bdrebuilder and seeign it took 40 hours, i thought there really wouldnt be that much quality difference from that and the mkv, so i used tsmuxer, exported as a bluray disc format. deleted the mentioned folders and burnt. my samsung played it, but my neighbors said it was a data disc. this is where im confused cause after that i burnt 5 other trials on bd5s and they all worked in his player. tried another dual layer, worked in his player. tried a different movie that was 16 gigs and burnt to the a bd-r and same thing. says its a data disc. does anyone have any ideas what might be going on?
