    I am converting a .avi xvid to .mov for playback on a mac. I am using procoder 3 wizard.
    Does any wise member know the best codec to use for the converson in procoder. Also the picture size is 320 by 240 what size should i make this for Pal?
    The encoders listed are H264,Apple Cinepac, Apple DV PAL, H263, Appple H261

    Why? All macs can play avi xvids...

    But if you really want to, then use h264 video if you want to keep small file size with good quality.

    And if it's just for playback on a computer the pal and ntsc doesn't matter.

    Hi Baldrick, the mac I'm using wont play xvid, no codec installed and not going to allow it either.
    The file needs to be reasonably small 800 mb tops, this is 120 mins film. It would be good if I could convert to pal.
    The movie is going into Final Cut Express for editing.
