    Hi.
If the imput file is only 720x576 is this the max I can render at?
Or do/can I still render at HQ 1400x1080?
    cheers

  2. You can render at any frame size you want. There's not much point in increasing the frame size though. Enlarging the frame does not increase the resolution -- ie, it will not increase the amount of detail. Even the best "super resolution" techniques offer very little improvement.

What do you intend to do with the video? That's what will determine what you should do with it.

It is only old home footage that I am doing for a friend
So its not a major project or anything
Maybe his camera (old) had poor quality, or he did not set it right, or used crappy tapes.
    Does not matter too much.
Saves him doing it so he will have to be happy with the end project.
    Cheers

  4. If you are going to make a DVD you will have to stick with 720x576.

  6. I wouldn't call 720x576 "half a#@". It's the normal resolution for PAL DVD.

    You know what I mean
I am not buying expensive software to upgrade it or anything
So as long as it does not cost me money and gets to DVD its good
Compared to used In Studio or something the project is half a#$
    Thats the point
    cheers
