I have Audacity 1.3.7 (betta). I cannot export a file to mp3, it tells me that the "Lame" version is not compatible.
    Any suggestions?

do you have Lame installed? I believe that it uses Lame for encoding MP3s.

  4. Did you use the lame_enc.dll file?
Once you move the .dll file to the Audacity folder then go to Preferences>File Formats and then click Find Library.

    Thanks.

It still doesn't work. It tells me that I'm linking the lame_enc.dll version 3.98, which is not campatible with Audacity 1.3.7, please download the latest version of Lame. I cannot find any version of Lame older thab 3.98.

  6. From the changelog:

Note: Windows users wanting to export MP3 files will require the latest version of the LAME encoder from http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/
