Bought a DP372B during a trip to Hong Kong for my son's Xmas.
Found out it was zone 3 and cannot use it in Paris. Can anyone help me with dezoning it. Haven't been able to find answers on any site for the past three weeks.

It's OK to ask as sometimes people get help with these requests, but the odds are very high that there's no way to make your player region free. Many DVD players cannot be made region free. Samsung, for example, at this time locks every player they sell in the world and none of the current models can be made region free.

Hollywood has apparently convinced most of the DVD player manufacturers that they need to stop consumers from having region free DVD players. I don't know what Hollywood expects this to accomplish. All it will do is make people turn to piracy to get copies of DVDs from other regions instead of buying them.

It has been several years since I looked, but a few years ago there was a company in the Netherlands that could use hardware modifications to make any DVD player region free. The cost was very high though. You could consider that, but it's probably cheaper to just buy another DVD player in France for your son.
