First strip the audio in virtualdub
    save audio as wav
after wav is saved open video in tempgen and under audio file open the wav you created then encode

  4. When i convert from avi/divx to mpeg, i allways extract the audio using GraphEdit. I've done this with both PAL and NTSC movies, and i've never gotten sync probs. You need to combine the right filters to make it work. First press "file/render media file". then remove all video filters after "avi splitter". Remove all audio filters after "mpeg layer3 decoder". Add directshow filters "WavDest" and "FileWrite". Press play button and wait. Voila. But if jaywings method don't work i don't se why this one should, but it's worth a try...
