DVDFab Decrypter then shrink and Imgburn to burn .if Fab doesn't work then you need to wait until they update their software

Couldn't this be considered political discussion?
Why is it that people who have trouble ripping all share these 2 characteristics?
1. Do not know how to use google in any way, shape, or form.
2. Use the absolute oldest software.
Oh, and sometimes (maybe most):
3. Want to rip the shittiest movies. -
Now, now. Oliver Stone directed it, and while a 6.8 rating at IMDB doesn't put it in the "Great" category, it's respectable enough:Originally Posted by Supreme2k

It may not be your cup of tea, but there are plenty of people out there that enjoyed it. -
Good Russian movie this one.....
You can only backup this one on Chinese media.'Do I look absolutely divine and regal, and yet at the same time very pretty and rather accessible?' - Queenie -

Hey guys, most of you aren't very nice. The OP has a legimitate issue.
A friend of mine lent me his copy of W. to back up...turns out my PC won't even READ it...even for viewing purposes!!..much less imaging.
-DVD contents are NOT viewable in My Computer/Windows Explorer.
-Power DVD won't PLAY it (says no disc in drive)
-and the obvious, DVDHD Decrypter, DVDShrink or anything else for that matter won't detect the disc.
I stuck in another disc just to see if my DVD burner konked out on me...not the case. I'm wondering if this is the issue the OP has? If so, I think its a BIG issue and a TERRIBLE copy protection method by Lionsgate! I mean, NOT being able to watch the movie on a PC?!?!?!!??!!?!
EDIT: Oh, and before someone else comes out with some more smart a$$ comments & comebacks with the obvious (which I'm sure you were already thinking of typing). The disc plays just JUST FINE on a standard DVD player, therefore NOT defective! -
Sorry but you are only allowed to discuss how to backup your OWN dvds. Then it would probably work also...
...or if not I would return the dvd and claim that it wont work on my HTPC.

OK, then change the "A friend of mine lent me his" to "I bought W. & tried"...
geez, everyone on here has a halo don't they?
Bottom line, the W. R1 DVD has a very unusual copy protection..making it indetectable in my PC's DVD drive (btw, I'm running xp, not sure if it makes a difference). -
Give it back to your friend and tell him it is defective.
Believing yourself to be secure only takes one cracker to dispel your belief. -
Hello, officer. Change when I said "I downed a fifth of Jack and burned rubber" to "I had just gotten out of church and slowly crept out onto the road".
And it only took you a month to formulate a comeback.
Lucky for you that you can't see me. My halo would blind you. -
What part of "the disc is defective" do you not understand?

It's not magical copy protection.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

A DVD should play on all licensed devices. The fact that it will not even show up in Windows and the drive shows no disc means that the disc is defective. There is no magic wand or magic potion that you could use that would mysteriously make it work. Saying Abracadabra only makes you look foolish.Originally Posted by Putana
