  1. I'm having the same problem most (all?) DVCII users have. The audio and video of the SVCD mpeg files don't synchronize correctly when I capture video with my DVCII board. I've seen several users claim that the problem is fixed by capturing to separate files and multiplexing with TMPG. However, TMPG doesn't recognize the video file (.m2v).

Can anyone help? I'm trying to create SVCD of family videos off of a regular VCR tape.

    Thanks.

  2. Option 1) Use bbMPEG to multiplex (personally recommended)

Option 2) Im not sure why TMPGEnc isnt recognizing the file extension m2v, but you can try renaming it with a .mpv extenstion.

I've had good luck with my DVCII (even with Athlon / Abit mobo). Although i dont use it much as i prefer capturing to AVI using VirtualDub and encoding with avisynth / CCE )

    Good luck!

Sound sync with my DVC II is ALWAYS rock solid!
Remember to disable the video preview screen b4 capturing. Thats very important.
Also, make sure nothing else is running in the background.

  4. Sorry. Should have mentioned that bbMPEG also can't read the file. I get the following error message.

File clip82.m2v is not a 11172-2 or 13818-2 Video stream.
