I am trying to burn 250-300mb avi files to a dvd disk. But as soon as i put them on there files sizes expand, up to 1.5gb-ish. Is there anyways that i can stop this from happenig so i can fit more on the same disk?? Thanks in advance

If they are DivX/XviD files, and your dvd player is DivX compatible, you can burn them as data files, instead of converting to DVD-Video. That way they will be the same quality and filesize
If your DVD player doesn't have this capability, you have to convert to DVD-Video. You can use a lower bitrate , but the quality will deteriorate. MPEG2 is not as compressed as MPEG4-ASP, so you need a higher bitrate/filesize to compensate ( Filesize = Bitrate x Running Time) -
Are you trying to create a DVD-Video disc, or a data DVD?
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
How am i supposed to know if my dvd player is divx compatible??? And if i do need to convert the avi file, what software do i use?

That's assuming your player can play AVI files.
If it has something like "DivX Certified" on it it probably can.
Otherwise you will have to convert your files to play them. -
i have no idea what your on about. Sorry but i do not have a great understanding of this burning process. I am using nero as the software to burn.
