I'm gonna put this in here, because I'm not sure if it'd be appropriate for another forum.

Alright, a friend uploaded a burnt dvd for me. I've downloaded all the files. Initially when I played the individual vob's by themselves in VLC - at a few points there would be a skip - where it jump ahead 5 seconds or so, I'm able to rewind just after the part where it skips, and all that audio/video IS there. I figured I'd try it when I get everything downloaded it and play it as a DVD compilation in VLC. It works much better, the skips are still there, but it doesn't just jump a head, just a brief moment where the video and audio pauses seperately and then start back up to be back in sync.

I'm ASSUMING it may be an issue with the file structure itself, and not the actual video/audio. From what I understand, this isn't a problem on the actual dvd copy of the footage. Anyone know what I could do to possibly repair this? or does it sound like a problem that may have occured during the ripping process?
