Can I burn a video on a .dat file directly to a VCD or I need to convert it?

Nero can directly burn a DAT file as a VCD.
For other proggies, it will be a good idea to use VCDGear to convert the DAT file back to MPEG first (there is no loss of quality and it takes no longer than copying).
