  1. Hi

I've got some DVD movies that are badly scratched, the DVD drive on my PC fails to read certain parts of it, is there anything I could do to solve this? Thanks.

If the data is still there i.e. it is only the plastic that is scratched and not the actual data layer, then you can purchase various devices that will polish the surface of the disks to remove the scratches. Google "skip doctor".

I'd recommend one of the motorised versions; I opted for a manual one to save money, and although it works it takes for ever!

Do a search on this site with the word scratched. You'll find everything you need to know.

I've found that spray furniture wax ( Behold) works best for me. If an application of something doesn't work a software product might.
