I was under the impression that posting URL's to warez and crack websites was not allowed on this site. . . anyway, another place to see if your burner supports 90/99 blanks (a more legit. source):
http://www.disc4you.com/start.html
I don't see Philips listed as being compatible. HOWEVER, that does not mean the discs won't work--you'll have to buy a couple and play around with your overburning settings. Some drives are simply incompatible. Also, make sure you have the latest firmware for your drive. I also have a Philips (an older 8x model) and can overburn 80 minute blanks to @83 minutes, but I haven't tried 90/99 minute blanks yet. As far as DVD players, I have heard that many people have used these blanks with no problem. Once again, it is a matter of experimenting, since these discs are "illegal" under Red and Orange Book standards. Best of luck! -
I have an old Dysan burner (based on a Yamaha drive) but didnt know if it could take 90 min discs, so I simply bought a blank for aprox USD 1.5 and tried a burn (using Nero) to my joy it worked, so NOW I have the "Jesus Christ Superstar" double CD musical on a SINGLE disc playing on my portable CDplayer (and NO need to go MP3
). BUT!! I have heard that you might damage the burner if you try to burn a 90 min disc on burner that does not support such ops. Doubt know if its true or how it could happen, however if you still have a valid Waranty you could try it
or you could try it any way. The way you get 90+ mins on a CD is by winding the tracks tighter than on a "regulation" CD. Though you might get trouble reading it on all CD-players since you have less "margins" between tracks. On the other hand ALL my CD players took the 88min CD (including my 10 year old Panasonic portable CD player)

Sure you can post links! How do you think I did it?
My point was that cdrsoft is a warez site. In other words, they have illegally obtained and cracked material that violates US and International copyright laws. While I am not going to debate the legistics of such sites, or whether downloading such material is immoral, I can say that VCD.com does not contain anything illegal, and I am sure that Baldrick (administrator) would like to keep it that way. If the website owners started allowing people to post hack/crack/warez URL's on here, a pandora's box would be opened.
So, to make things short, post any URL you want here so long as it is a legal one, not one containing a "warning message" about the (il)legalities of the content it holds, or warez/cracks/etc. I am just telling you this myself because I can see that you are a newbie and I wouldn't want somebody to run into trouble with this site because they didn't know better.
