I am looking for "beta testers" to check the stream on the page above.
It is a streaming MP4 clip, a section of what I shot off my Canon HF10 tonight.
If you have success or failure either one, please report the following:
1) Browser (Firefox, MSIE, Etc)
2) OS (Mac, XP, Vista, Etc)
3) Adobe Flash Ver (10, Etc)
It is supposed to need version 10 or better.
Comments about video quality is welcome. I will be posting back with details on how I did it if there is enough interest.
Thanks for your help!
Andrew

Pretty boring video.
1. Internet Explorer
2. XP SP2
3. Some version of 9
The quality seems OK. Personally, I don't care how you did it. Maybe others do. -
1. Firefox 3.
2. XP SP3
3. 10.
And yep good quality.
If it's mp4 with h264 video you just need version 9.0.115 or higher. -
1) IE
2) XP SP2
3) 10
decent quality, but you could do better using different settings - at least avc main or high profile. This would allow cabac which itself provides for 20% better compression on average, (or better quality at the same bitrate) - which is useful for web streaming / reducing bandwidth expenses
if you bobbed it and made jagabo happy, slower computers might have difficulty with playback. I don't know who your audience primarily consists of -
I wouldn't bob it. Use a smart deinterlacer. Even better, use a camcorder that shoots progressive.

Forgive me for posting without providing any real helpful advice, but I just couldn't resist commenting about the title of this thread: "Check my stream please?" -- Sounds like a urology issue.

Im pretty sure the source and encoded MP4 are both 30p, why would I want to deinterlace?
"at least avc main or high profile"
Ill look into that, I can also use x264.exe- Ill look at the help and see what the switches are, if I can set the profile as you suggest.
"Even better, use a camcorder that shoots progressive. "
Canon HF10, the source is already progressive. I guess you didnt read the first post.
"Sounds like a urology issue"
Uh Oh. It does, doesnt it?
" 9.0.115"
Thx rick, good info!
Thanks,
Andrew -

That JW flash player is pretty slick..I use it on my site with the playlist attached at the bottom.

1080i video that's been drop field deinterlaced and resized down to SD resolution (in that order) usually has fewer buzzing edges than your streamed video. I suspect you downscaled to 480i with an interlace aware resizer, then drop field deinterlaced and scaled to 720x400.

works fine in firefox 3.
