How to change the subtitle position?How to put it on the top of the screen?

I will convert an avi along with subtitles in ConvertXtoDVD to see the movie in my DVD player. I need to put some lines(5 or 7) on the top of the screen. Is there any software to do this task? I've tried DivxLand Media Subtitler and Subtitle Workshop, but no luck.

AFAIK, only the SSA and ASS file formats give you
lots of freedom regarding the positioning and styling of the subtitles.

Give a try to SubStation Alpha ("old-fashioned" app) or Aegisub (the "modern" one).

You can adjust the position of the subs afterwards using DVDSubEdit.

ConvertXtoDVD 3 allows subtitles in any place of the screen.
