Can anyone suggest an application or plugin that will allow me to convert F4V files (the output of Adobe Flash Media Encoder Live when configured to encode in h264) to an AVI or other friendly format?

I've tried Avidemux (I get audio, but just a green screen for video) and VirtualDub with no success.

My goal is to get the F4V files in a format that other video sites will play more nicely with, like an Xvid encoded AVI.

Thank for the help! I searched the forum and google and couldn't find anything that did not look suspicious.

    Try latest winff.

Or if you can play the f4v in windows media player(install ffdshow and flv splitter) then can you use avisynth and make script with directshowsource("video.f4v") and then open it in virtualdub.

Unfortunately when I convert the F4V videos to AVI using WinFF, the audio steadily gets out of sync as you get further into the videos. I think in a separate thread that Baldrick mentioned that this was likely due to Variable Frame Rate?

Is there anyway I can avoid this? Or fix it? Currently, I leave all the settings as default in WinFF except for specifying the XVID format.
