  1. Is there an easy way to persuade my cheap DVD player to play simple Divx files without stopping between files ?

  2. Probably not. Unless you want to join all the files into one AVI -- they'll have to all use the same codecs and properties.

If you mean where a movie has been split into two or more files then my Pioneer does that already so I can't explain why your player doesn't?

Some players have a setting in the menus to allow for continuous playback of Xvid files, although it is rarely seamless. Some players simply do not support it. As you have provided no information about your player at all, it is impossible to say if yours can do it or not.

  5. Thanks, guys.

Sounds like it probably cant be done, but I"ll have a closer look at the menu options when I get access to the player.
