  5. if you convert the multichannel files to pcm wav with a program like dbpoweramp and copy them to cd they should play. the only sticking point may be the dts, as it may require your amp to have a dts decoder built in to play them.

    Usage:
      spdifer input_file output_file [-raw | -wav]

    Options:
      input_file - file to convert
output_file - file to write result to
-raw - make raw SPDIF stream output (default)

  7. Some program like Adobe Audition can create surround audio. If you create 2 folder AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS just like dvd and put your audio into the audio folder a dvd player will play it. Some sound cards create dolby digital 5.1 or DTS on the fly from stereo sound and because of copy protection there are no software or capturing audio device in 5.1.
The link is a pro Software but for home entertainment I think the sound card option is the cheapest and easiest .

Shouldn't besweet be able to do this? Or is it besplit? I remember being able to do it with a version of besweet. I don't remember the process I used but I got it working. FYI the cd player I used at the time was a cd recorder with fiber optic output and my amp has both dd and dts decoding so I could hear it.....

Just burn the ac3 file with imgburn or cdburnerxp as a data cd, my dvd player reads them

That was it! Thanks ricardouk. I knew there was a subset of besweet that did that. Just couldn't remember the name...

The audio needs to be encoded at 44.1kHz instead of the DVD standard 48kHz, and put in a wav wrapper. It can then be burned to a CDR as a standard CD track, but is only playable on a player this connected via digital connection or does it's own decoding. On anything else it will sound like pink noise (is, in fact, pink noise) and could blow your speakers if the volume it too high at the time.

  12. guns1inger...i tried all means and generated audio CD with DTS tracks as mentioned above, but still i get noise through my DTS signal on the receiver lights up but only noise.

    Procedure as follows

    Input files : 48 KHz ac3 (5.1) files
Used BeSure + BeSweet +Surcode 1.0.20 (Surcode 1.0.9 crack doesnt work) output to PCM WAv files and burnt a Audio CD- No luck
Used Headac3he to resample the files to 44.1KHz and then convert them to WAV files and then burnt to Audio CD - noluck

    Any ideas here please

    Thanks
    Zorro

You have to resample to 44.1 kHz, encode as DTS in the WAV container, then burn to CD and play in a CD player (or DVD player) that has a digital connection to an amplifier that can decode a digital DTS audio signal.

    Here,where do you think?

Zorro, try Belight, import the 48 KHz ac3 (5.1) file, choose 44.1khz sample rate, tick 16bit 5.1 Wave and use WAV/PCM as output...
