    Hi all,

i was converting a DVD to MKV file using Xvid4PSP converter.
(i want to play the MKV files through my PC to HDTV)

what is the frame rate i should keep it to.

keep the same as DVD or more.

and the Audio codec ...AC3 or AAC.

Please suggest good settings to Watch it on HDTV.

Framerate is a no-brainer. Keep the original framerate.

What audio depends on what you are playing it back with. The savings going from AC3 to AAC are not that great if you keep all the channels, so it may not be worth the (slight) quality drop.

  3. I wouldn't count on anything being able to play interlaced video properly from an MKV file. So, if the DVD is interlaced you might consider doubling the frame rate with a smart bob. On the other hand, I wouldn't necessarily count on anything being able to play 50 or 60 fps video. Test your playback device.
