Hey guys I'm new here and I'm at a last hope for some help with this. I hope this is the right place to post this.

I made the mistake of filming scenes from a movie some friends and I are making on a DVD-RW disc. I hadn't realized doing this created a .VRO file instead of a typical .VOB DVD video file until I went to copy the disc to my computer. With that being said the only way I can convert that is by converting the whole thing at once. Is there any software out there that will auto-split or auto-chapter the the 71 scenes from the .VRO file into individual ones? I really don't want to have to go through and break every scene manually but I will if I have to as long as I can get some proper software. Everything I am finding on the internet isn't really what I want to do at all.

My scenes are also in widescreen 16:9 format so I would hope there is something that won't modify that.

    Thanks a bunch!

I think TDA or TMPGEnc Authoring Works may be able to do what you want. They are not free software, but have a free trial. I believe both can detect timecode breaks and split VRO files using them.

    Hi

Only just noticed this thread so you may have already solved the problem. There is a program called "VROSPLIT" which I have used to split the files into their separate parts and save them as mpeg files. I cannot confirm the aspect ratio is not changed.
The program is available as a .deb file or source code as is run from command line ,but the site is Japanese and I used google translate to read it.
