    Ripbot says the Matroska Haali filter not installed. FFDSHOW is ok. Tried installing Haali 5 times. wont go...??

  2. Did you try the recent version of haali media splitter?

    As a workaround, you can also edit the .ini file in a text editor (e.g. notepad) to disable program check, set it to "0" instead of "1"

    CheckRequiredSoftware=0

    Thanks, which .ini file would this be?

  4. There is only 1 .ini file. It is in the ripbot directory (standalone version, not sure about the installer version, I've never used that one)

    RipBot264.ini

    It sounds like mp4box crashed when muxing the video and audio files.

    Are you doing a blu-ray to mp4 conversion?
    Can you list the files in the ripbot264 temp folder? You might be able to mux the video and audio files to one mp4 manually if you haven't deleted them.

    Deleted them. But i guess my question now is, I have an .m2ts file that is 22gb long. English audio and etc they way I want it. Is there a way to shrink down the .m2ts so its not so big. Ive seen some that are 3.5-4gb and the quality is fine with me. Yes its blu-ray conversion. So is there a way to shrink this 22gb .m2ts?

    Usually the video stream itself of a movie in a m2ts file is like 15-25GB plus the audio stream(s). The only way to make it smaller is to re-encode the video. IMO you'd lose lquality if you encode it to 3-4GB 1080p, maybe 720p looks OK, but to keep 1080p I'd encode it to 6-8GB.

    So re-encode with tsmuxergui? Where do I find the settings to shrink it down a bit? Or a link? Thanks.

    TsmuxeR does not encode the video stream of a m2ts file, it just muxes/demuxes/daisychains m2ts files and different streams, it does downconvert audio streams though, but for encoding the video you have to use tools like Ripbot264, meGUI, VDubMod, etc. just search for guides how to encode with them.

    Ok, so now im back to either trying to get ripbot264 to work properly as it crashed this morning after reencoding all night or just buying a 1TB Hd to keep my 22GB Blu-Ray rips.... hmmmm. Maybe its time to head to bestbuy LOL.

    Because when all is said and done, the .m2ts plays over my network to my PS3 using tversity just fine. Can these .m2ts be burnt through a blu-ray burner one day and be quasi backups of the original?

    TSmuxeR can create a BD structure from an m2ts file that could be burned on a BD media.

    You can shrink the m2ts to the smallest possible size (around 15-25GB) with TSmuxeR without re-encoding the video if you only keep the video and one audio stream downconverted to AC3 640kbps for example with eac3to.

    Nice, thanks for the responses. Yeah, i had a problem with no sound or spanish only at first. I then used eac3to and was able to get my english only audio and tsmux the vid and sound together. So it seems pretty well stripped and its still 22gb! But if tsmuxer can take that .m2ts and process it to a bd structure later thats great for me.

    Because DTS-HD/TRUE-HD/lpcm master audio is not supported in "file mode" when the m2ts is played back, it's only supported in "disc mode", this is why you heard the next available AC3 audio track instead of the master audio when played back the m2ts.
