Hello all, I am searching for a solution for my company. We use videos for legal purposes and therefore need to preserve the time/date stamp on the video for court purposes. Currently we use Mini-DV, but would like to move to DVD or maybe even HD/Flash media. However, I cannot find out how to get the time/date stamp to display on the video after it has been edited and rendered into WMV (or some other streaming format) for video streaming and/or to DVD for viewing on a DVD player or PC. There are solutions for Mini-DV (AVI format), but I have yet to find a solution for DVD or Hard Drive type camcorders (usually MPEG-2 or AVCHD video formats).

I am open to buying any brand camcorder and/or editing software necessary. I am also willing to pay for a custom solution if anyone knows of someone who can help. We do use higher end consumer type camcorders and I do not want to go into professional grade camcorders that cost $1000s.

    Thanks for your time!
