Everytime I upload a video that was converted to .avi from .mov with SUPER, and has XviD in it, a high bit rate (like 5280 kbps, and 320 audio kbps), or a file size that's over 100 MB, YouTube starts uploading the video, but then I come back hours later to find it's still uploading. It should never take that long for a file that's merely 168 MB.
VirtualDub doesn't even work either. It still wont upload it. But with my smaller files that have a low bit rate seem to upload fine.
I also tried putting the .avi in WMM and exporting it as a DV~AVI which someone on these forums told me to do in one of my other topics, but the DV~AVI file is always near 1 GB, and that wont upload to YouTube either.
Can anyone help me out? Thx.

Sometimes when I upload videos it stays on the uploading screen even after the video is uploaded. Did you check the my videos tab under your account name to see if it finished?

No but I found out it was because YouTube's three uploaders take turns malfunctioning, so that's y it seemed to never upload my vids. So this topic's no use anymore cuz I solved my problem.

I just deleted one of my vids too. Uploaded it yesterday and it never processed.....just hung in limbo for 12 hours.

It'll just place the letter at the end of the thing, so u'd have to delete ur whole description and start all over again, so be really careful. -

"Thanks for your email! There are far too many variables in that kind of
conversion for me to be able to give you exact directions. I would
recommend searching around on the web for things like "DVD to AVI". You
should find a number of websites with good information and walkthroughs to
get you started. We recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid, SQV3) format at
320x240 resolution with MP3 audio. Resizing your video to these
specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on
YouTube."
Anyone know the best program again for this and do utube still have a limit on how long your videos can be? Mine's 1/2 an hour so may need to split it. A definitive answer would make my day.
