    Am I correct to interpret this to mean that if I encode a 1280x720p/59.94fps, then European PAL players will play it but at about a 16% slower rate?     I think I said it above but if you decide to render 59.94 (fields or frames/s) you will need a separate render for 50 (fields or frames/s) export. Only 24p fps works for both.

    I don't know what kind of animation you are doing but study the way Disney/Pixar does it. Their 24p animations work for conversion to every format.
