    Hi

Can anybody maybe help with this as i am unsure why the video is producing this odd edges (looks like thin black lines) , is this artifacts? Why? and how can i correct it (Editor Vegas 8, original footage - Panasonic GS400)

Below is an image capture showing the odd edges especially around the 2 white pillars and around the guys head; (It also appears in the final rendered video so is not an image capture problem)

Sure it must be something i'm doing wrong, any help would be greatly appreaciated

    Thanks

  2. It's interlaced video. It is perfectly normal for video. Each frame of video contains two separate half-pictures, one in all the even numbered scanlines, one in all the odd numbered scanlines, intended to be viewed one at a time on TV:

Your computer displays both at the same time unless you are using a deinterlacing player.

If you are making DVDs ignore it (don't resize or crop the frame), it will display properly on your TV. If you are uploading video to youtube (or similar) you want to deinterlace.
