Will DVDs I burn here to NTSC standards (29.97 fps) be viewable by a majority of European model DVD players. Do European DVD players only plan PAL format?

European DVD players (the majority) DOES play all systems. In fact all players of any given modell are identical hardware, except for the region code contained somewhere inside the DVD on a FLASH ROM/ alt BIOS.
So if you burn region free, it can be played back on any European DVD player PROVIDED the viewer use TV-set that has NTSC playback.
And YES all (well MOST) NEW TV sets sold in Europe have NTSC playback.
